In the Book of Romans Paul of Tarsus sets down one of the cornerstones of his theology : no man can be justified by works , only through faith is the justification of grace.
In other words Paul is saying that that only faith and not works can count for righteousness.
This Christian doctrine is similar to Salvation in Islam that is purely by the Grace of God Almighty – while deeds are merely an indication of the reception of His Grace.
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
It is God who created you and all your actions (37:96)
وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ
And he who relies entirely upon God will find Him fulfilling (65:3)
The big difference is however: Islam teach a believer can attain paradise by the mercy of God without ‘god’ having to require a human sacrifice!
Denunciation of the Woolwich – London Horrific Murder
By His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi
As a Muslim leader representing many Muslims around the World, especially the UK, I want to express my denunciation in the strongest terms of the inhumain, barbaric killing on the streets of Woolwich, London. … This reprehensible act is an affront to every basic sense of humanity, let alone to the lofty moral ideals of religion. The Name of God, and the religion of Islam can never be used to justify insane acts of terror or cold-blooded murder. The perpetrators of this cowrdless act do not represent but their own criminal minds and inhumain hearts which are full of hatred.
This is why we urge the British societry not to put any burden of guilt on the Muslim communities which live peacefully amongst them side by side. Muslims in the UK are an integral positive component of the British society and carry but love and peace to Britains and to humanity; as the message of Islam is a message of love, peace and mercy.
Muslims in the West know well their duties in being loyal to the countries where they live and to abide by the laws and to be a source of peace in the societies, as Islam teaches and as we have been preaching.
We finally remind Muslims of the Words of God in the Holy Qur’an, “anyone who kills a person it is as though he killed mankind.
The first “Christian” were were originally monotheists. They were the true apostles of Jesus whom some call the Nazarenes.
The modern day Christians originated with Paul in Antioch. That’s where and when the followers of Paul started being called Christians.
From Acts 11:26 we read that was about 30 years after Jesus’ crucifixion. All this time the Nazarenes were headquartered in Jerusalem and coexisting peacefully with mainstream Judaism. When Paul showed up in Jerusalem preaching that Jesus was God, and that he had resurrected, he was nearly killed by the regular Jews for preaching heresy because the Nazarenes had no idea of those things about Jesus preached by Paul.
